Why do we fall in love
With someone we can’t have
I want to know this answer
Is it the forbidden fruit
That we have labeled them?

Why is it tempting
This forbidden fruit
It’s torturing me inside
Because I love him and want him
Yet they are unattainable.

I know that the forbidden fruit
Doesn’t like me
The way I like him.

I want him to love me
I want to be with him
But how can I tell this to him
When he doesn’t feel the same way
About me.
