Five Lines Poem by Keli Mims

Five Lines

My body goes ridgid and tense,
My heart is held in suspense,
 It doesn't make much sense,
That a friendship so dense,
Would share such innocence.

I beg you pretty please,
Don't say you love me,
Go away, run, leave,
A part of me I don't want you to see,
Is the only me I can be.

I guess we're going down,
My breath skips without a sound,
Your voice plays in the background,
My heart shatters on the ground,
I feel like a clown.

I don't think I can be free,
Since you told me you loved me,
I've tossed around each night like the sea,
I asked you to please leave,
'Cause I fear this is what it'd be.

I don't want to like you,
I can't control it but I do,
And it's nothing less than true,
I don't know what to do,
But fall inlove with you.
