Far Apart

When I reminisce,
I find you in the back of my mind.
Stubborn, you refuse to move anywhere else but there.
I've thought of the times we shared,
Both good and bad.
But nothing can surmount to the way I feel about you.
I too have placed myself there, in the back of my mind.
But the closer I get to you, the more you move away.
I've chased you over a countless times.
Wondering what I've done to make you hate me so.
I loved you enough for the both of us,
Where did I go wrong.
How did we grow so far apart
