Yes, when children leave for college and we are left alone, especially after 50, we feel so lonely and the empty nest in the first few months lies so silent! This is exactly what I felt when both my sons left for colleges far away! Then writing poems turns a great diversion! I can connect myself with these thoughts!

The regions of mind is drifted deeper and deeper inside emotion and perception. Empty nest has left you scrambling and stumbling like a little child. This provokes thought. Children go in their own way for performing duties. Parents remain in nest and feel this as empty. You have shared deep emotion and wonderful thoughts. This is an outstanding poem definitely...10
