Sky longed to reach his Earth below,
Earth yearned to be at one with Sky;
Yet, it could never be although
Sky loved Earth enough to die.

Sky touch his Earth with sorry tears,
that flooded Earth till she was spent;
Sky sighed in clouds that showed his fears,
and thundered till his heart was rent.

Then, Earth arose, like women will
when longing for love's sweet embrace;
She raised herself upon a hill,
where she and Sky met face to face.

Sky reached for Earth in veils of mist,
There, they smiled and gently kissed.
