Drenched In Rain; Drenched In Pain Poem by Jhayvee M

Drenched In Rain; Drenched In Pain

Perhaps it was the last time I’ll travel that long mile
Gotta let go all these burning feelings and desire of mine
Foolish was I for reopening that closed chapter; that ceased part of my life
I should have learned, I should have known better
I should have stopped clinging on to my old hopes and dreams
I should have kept telling my self “quit dreaming, cease hoping”
Cause dream or hope I might, in reality only there will she ever be mine
Now the final date has been reached and the final bridge has been crossed
That twenty-fifth should be the final day of my awakening
And now I guarantee, it will be the last day that the weather will cry along with me
