Dream Of Revolution Poem by Ima Ryma

Dream Of Revolution

A secret meeting we all had
At my request so that we could
Revolt against all that was bad,
And put in what I felt was good.
'Brothers and sisters, let's unite, '
I proclaimed, 'The rules are wrong.'
'Together we can make them right.'
But reluctant to go along
With my revolution, someone
Snitched to the ruling tyrants, so
All of my hopes and dreams were done.
I had failed in my overthrow.

Short lived my revolution be.
The folks found out and grounded me.
