Diabetes

Diabetes

It is the second time
-we meet and I know all
-angry I am with
-the woman who has dog
-can't hear anymore…
-what she has, wants to say
-of the poor dog or pet:
-"Cannot buy medicine;
-it is too expensive…"

She goes on, explains:
-"One of eyes is almost…"

Wants to say:
-"…is blind…"

"Hey shut up…"
-mean to say
-watch my mouth

She goes on:
-"…has to go…"

And I know…
-pet is sick and it has…
-diabetes…

Pets tell me of slaves
-as well as what white called:
-"The savage Indians…"
-and also the ones that
-grow on the ha-ha,
-or the farms…
-to give wool and mohair
-milk and meat…
-life, labour
-and flesh

Poor are pets, pigs, cattle
-sheep, turkey and chicken
-cats, horses…and others…
