Decaying dreams fall down like rain
The shadows clear to recover a forgotten name
The water stained the bank with a blood so thick
That you couldn't even run your hand threw it
These are the pools of painful memories
The ones you lock into one place to forget
But they come back in your subconscious
It screams in your dreams and scares you awake
But you can't run from them, you must face it
It takes time to face your fears
Like I have tried many times before
You'll forget the bad and remember the good
And the way your heart once fluttered with ever kiss
The blood was so thin back then, that you could still breath
You could still hold your hand out and feel the wind
Your knees were never weak and your soul so alive
Well now its time to take back those moments
And remember what it was like to be so alive
That your heart can't take it, and your overjoyed
Forgive the blade for mocking you when you were down
Don't worry about the silence that was your friend
Its gone now, and you'll hear voices once again
Remember how good it felt to be so warm
And to never know what cold meant
Or how much compassion and love you could spill
Each word meant so much to you when you spoke
You can feel it again, but it takes time to heal
Some times it takes to long but in the end it works out
Two spoonfuls of pain for one touch of pleasure
Its all worth the pain in the end because it will get better
You just have to look between the grayed clouds
And find the hope you once held on to so tight
That you couldn't even take a breath with out fearing
It would escape your arms and fly away
To leave you alone in a dark, forgotten world
But don't worry fate has a funny way of rewarding
The ones who need it the most
And the ones who show they deserve it
So let the hands of the fates take you away
And show you what once was
And how alive you really can be
