I shout out once again to Heaven
As I have ever since I was eleven,
I again wish a happy birthday to my dad
Which makes my soul feel so glad.
I know in heaven he is there
So, I always send him a nightly prayer,
But, I know that he can't answer me
And I know none of his loved ones here he can see.
I'm glad my dad can't see my suffering or pain
And I'm glad he knows not of my stress or strain,
Those I toss at the Lords feet
And because of Jesus those emotions I'll defeat.
As I look up towards high in the sky
A tear I again I do cry,
It's not because my dad isn't here any more
It's because he happily walked through heaven's door.
