Charles Kingsley

Charles Kingsley was a famous writer and poet
One the literary critics did laud one as one worthy of note
But one the Human World of was notofin need
Since he was one who was quite racist indeed
He was not a good person this is to be frank
Since he was one of those who upheld social rank
He referred to the poor of Ireland as white chimpanzees
His racist remarks were of the lower degrees
Perhaps a good writer but as a person far from great
His are the type people should not celebrate
It is said people should not say unkind things of the dead
But in his lifetime horrible things of people he said
From his damaged thinking death gave him release
We will leave Charles Kingsley for to rest in peace.
