I'm just a simple poet,
Who tried to touch the stars
To hold love in verse,
In the unrelenting quest of expression
Lords and kings,
Masters and servants,
All are bound with the common thread
Of anxieties and uncertainties
They find release in exits of various sorts
I have come to realize that poetry has no way out,
It is a consuming fire that burns the soul,
And yet, the sun gives life with its light,
And so, let me burn,
And in return,
I just might by chance,
Touch at least,
One star,
And that will be enough
let me burn, And in return, I just might by chance, Touch at least, One star, And that will be enough - - - - - - > spoken like a true poet and lover of literature as an art form! ! ! Beautiful, my friend! ! ! 10++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ and may your fire never go out
When you wish upon a star... a beautifully written poem dear Bill.
I have come to realize that poetry has no way out, It is a consuming fire that burns the soul....I feel exactly the same way! A very commendable piece of work...10

Wow this is nice. The burning Quest. Poetry certainly gives light. To me it's very eye-opening into the soul. I love the ending of this even if you reached one star. Great poetic expression here. Thank you for sharing this.
