Bully Poem by Richard Jarboe

Bully

You can see this guy's a bully,
Listen to him scream and yell,
It seems he never developed fully,
Why? Nobody can tell.

Was it low self esteem,
That made him so mean?
His outlook is bleak,
So he wrongs the weak.

It's better not to abuse the young,
So many blows sound like a drum,
Try not to crush the small,
'Cause every day a bully must fall.

Maybe not while they're in school,
Where they do a lot of hurt,
Where evil is a tool,
Playing in the dirt.

Time owns us all; fate owns us too,
As we revolve around the sun,
And if somebody's bullying you,
Forgive, forget and move on.

And if you're a bully and like what you do,
There's always a bully bigger than you,
Time is just a matter of time,
Sooner or later a bully's overdue.

You can't fix everything,
But you can fix who you are,
Once you unload your baggage,
And make way to go far.
