Buddhist Untitled Poem by Seshat Nibada

Buddhist Untitled

Rating: 5.0

I no longer measure every Grief I meet
With wide eyes, I look for beauty
Truth in the learning
Of the easier soul’s guise

I no longer wonder at the date of mine
Or pause upon my fate
But celebrate the years between
Such nature as birth & death

I note that Some plan may guide my way
An expressive spontaneity of light
I love more with each piling year
The seasons and glory of the people

Who crowd my life, symbols
Of every sweet cause or beloved end:
I measure every delight with a smile
To tell of the buried gold and waving green

That life in a body kissed me like
Water, sky, heart, revelation’s thirst.
