Beyond Sight Poem by Chinonye J. Chidolue

Beyond Sight

I am a stream of life;
Running over without strain and chide

I am a universe of galaxies and stars;
Giving forth my light to all around

I am a wind of joy and wellness;
Spreading hope to the unrest

I am a salt of the earth;
With my gentle touch, I give life to moments

My mind swells in positive stretches-
Tracing the dots that connect my existence;

Of braille and colours, senses and touch,
Moments unseen, gathering and slipping out of reach-

In a fleeting cosmos of abounding possibilities;
I am an amazon of relentless dreams

And through these dotted pages on which my fingers run,
On the landmarks of my revering vision-

I need not these two naked eyes;
To remind me that I am a bundle of blessings beyond mere sight.

Their vision is larger than the universe, and in a world of chaos and trifling moments, find them at the centre of their minds, connecting constantly with their dreams. They are truly blessed beyond mere sight!
