Bees And Butterflies

Where are the bees and butterflies?
Vital for our food chain
Pollenating plants, fruit, and crops
Lost to folly of humanity
Global warming overwhelming
Nature struggles in death throes.

Stewards of Garden of Eden
We feasted and played
Thinking only of pleasure
Without seeing our descendants
Inherit a barren desert
Where once a garden flourished.
