Basking In Your Glory

Basking In Your Glory

Memories haunt my every desire, leaving me quivering with emotion. They are often blurred, colored by the tracks of my tears. I see shallow images painted on the faded walls of melancholy, moments from sweet raptures that now feel distant. I crave the bittersweet essence of fulfillment once experienced on faraway shores.

Lonelier days stretch into nights spent clutching my pillow tightly, yearning for the heat that ignites passion. My thoughts dance in shadowy places, fixating on the curves you possess, dreaming of the moments we could share, but sleep eludes me.

Like dandelions floating on the breeze, suggestions of you bring a sense of ease to my mind. Yet, I am yearning, I'm craving, wanting your touch that sends chills to the depths of my soul. I cry out in desperation, swaying tenderly to music that ultimately fails to satisfy my desires.

I long for that one cherished moment that could transport me to paradise. Expressive verses make my heart ache with indulgence, as the absence of barriers dissolves the distinction between where you begin, and I end.

We melt into one another, enflamed as if penetrating sovereign canyons that call to us. Sweat runs down, comforted by entwined tongues. Built-up aspirations culminate in an eruption, leaving my toes curled in ecstasy.

To finally lay at rest in your arms brings the peace I have sought and found at last. For that brief instant, I bask in your glory, praying it could last forever.
