Bartender On A Corner Poem by Ovidd

Bartender On A Corner

Rating: 4.0

she was not beautiful
but her hair
raven,
it was her darkness i caught

i watched
her moves
knowing she was not
anything
more than young

i was old
but so is everyone

i often wonder
why men do the evil
they do
but stand defiantly
innocent
for a crime un-worthy
of forgiveness

and then i wonder why
so many pass through
systems
un-noticed by the many
because they are 'guilty'
until DNA proves
them innocent
of everything
a jury thought? !

for this i pondered
and this i wondered
what we think may not be
exact

and she may not be,
but i spent my moments
wondering
of the difference
considering
something that could not be
