Song Of The Rear Palace Chambers
- Bai Juyi (772-846)
- Translated by Frank C Yue
Silk handkerchief all wet with tears,
Her sweet dreams were no more;
In the deep of the night at the Front Hall
Songs and laughter soared.
Her face still so fair -
But the Emperor's favour was no longer there!
By the incense burner she was leaning,
Until the morning was dawning.
後宮詞 白居易
淚濕羅巾夢不成
夜深前殿按歌聲
红颜未老恩先斷
斜倚薰籠坐到明
