Dear Tony It is beyond expression how bad I feel about the horrific incident. Thanks to you for bringing it to the world of poetry to make us more active against such crimes.

What happened was diabolic and horrific. The perpetrators deserve no mercy. But why add her photo to this writing? Would it lessen the gravity of the crime had she not been pretty or fair complexioned? Where is the expression of grief or distress? Where is the condemnation? This is not like Dr. Tony.

I am sorry, Dr. Tony, that I did not care to take a look at your earlier poems on the subject.

The tragedy of the event that has been shared here is undeniable. But I'm not sure how this poem amplifies or otherwise adds to the power of a direct reportorial account that is easily shared and propogated today on social media. What does this poem do that reportage does not? Serious question, if anyone can elucidate on the issue for me I'd be grateful.

I wholeheartedly agree with this comment. Really, not a poetic subject at all. The Admin are fools as we all know. Another example of a favoured few joining a short queue. If you have an ounce of sense your comments do not strike a chord with fools.

You have raised a very valid point. We all are shocked and appalled by this extreme act of cruelty but the poem reads like a newspaper report with the exception that 'She is an angel among the purest of angels'.

This poem is very sensitive and thought provoking. It is really an inhuman and brutal attack to the eight years old girl. This is a poem that tears the heart and brings agony and sadness. Dr Tony, you have courage in sharing this poem to raise the voice for justice. All human beings should unite to fight against such crimes. We need a safety, crime-free and peaceful society....10

To stop such crimes the rapists must be punished in public thus; Slide down your pants, you beasts you odious, wicked, heinous bastards here comes the saw man with his rusted blunt saw in his hands and will saw off your penises bit by bit and feed the dogs and jackals waiting in line, and the ramnents to the flying vultures. On your wounds, he will spray chillies and salt And leave you crying, bleeding in hot sun to death.

Why only in Kashmir? These brutal crimes are happening frequently almost all over the world, but humans are irrationally unconcerned, on the cotrary, they are in great merry, merrily committing and also knowing. As knowing they are doing nothing as the criminals are frequently committing the same crimes, ........... what wronged, the world? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?

Oh my gosh! If ever there were a case to prove that evil exists this would be it. At only eight years old to suffer such atrocities, it's to terrible to even put to words. May her spirit be at peace.

I am really horrified to know that such gruesome act has happened in the premises of a temple. Have men become monsters? The holy shrine has been converted into. Tony, your last verse is superb! My heart cries for her. She is an angel among the purest of angels, in the abode of a God who is beyond all religions. 100+++

A beautiful child of God, raped and murdered. The worst kind of sin ever committed. Shame! Unforgivable! Tony, Congratulations to you for the POD - highlighting this crime to the world.
