Letting go when much has been invested in a supposedly trusting relationship after devastating disappointment is indeed not easy, But if one courageously accepts to take things in stride, then one can overlook the past and forge ahead without much qualms. Life is short. It is not worth even thinking about people who fail us. Ive stood up a long time ago, even though people tried pulling me down. It was not easy but i walked on and felt happy and proud again. I think we need people like the character in this poem to make us strong! Nice realistic poem
