She held on to his lies even though she knew he wouldn't live up to the promises
For so long she could have sworn that he was special
But she found out that he was just like the others
She would hope and pray that he would be there beside her
After so long of hearing those lies she finally said 'I'm done'
He told her one time not to give up on him
But after so long of him coming back and forth
She told herself she deserves better
So she went driving down an old country road
With the radio up so loud to drown him out of her head
There was nothing like a backroad to take her mind off of him
There was a song that came on that reminded her of him
She turned the station and kept on driving
Until she reached a dead end
She got out of the car and sat on the hood
And took out a picture of him and her
Took a lighter and burned it
She was gonna do whatever to get him off her mind
Slid down from the hood and started to dance to a Carrie Underwood song that came on
Smiling and singing along
She knew that she was gonna be alright because she knew he didn't love her anyway
