The cold winters dawn, the sky cloudy and grey,
Frost on the grass, morning song arises the day,
Stillness speaks words of calm and peace,
The closeness of fog before it lifts its embrace,
A white blanket of ice, hardened and cold,
Beauty resides in an act of nature so old,
The falling of a leaf, the cold weighing it down,
Alone, crisp, and brown as it drops to the ground,
Making way for new life, as the world starts to wake,
The beginning of a new day, a fresh dawn at its break.
