In the dormant still of the night,
He now arrives.
To take from sleeping children and,
Change their lives...
He enters the house with a stealthy ease,
Climbing up dark stairs to do as he please.
He watches an innocent child in a warm bed,
Wondrous dreams floating around its head...
He has done this so many countless times before.
Now silently tiptoeing across the bedroom floor.
He has never been caught and never will be,
But he'll leave a memory of his true identity...
He's on the bed moving closer and closer,
Only observed by this child's wall poster.
His arm out-stretched he's almost there,
This child still sleeping without a care...
He takes what he seeks and then he is gone,
He has more sleeping children to call upon.
The child awakes and his tooth has disappeared,
Now under his pillow a shiny coin to be revered...
In the dormant still of the night,
He now arrives.
The Tooth Fairy has never failed,
To leave a surprise...
I love this poem Shaun...what a wonderful homage to the Tooth Fairy...most imaginative! I will definitely share this with my young niece. I think she will really appreciate it. It's a truly enchanting Tooth Fairy inspired ten from me!

What a wonderful fairytale that brings back the magic and great memories of the Tooth Fairy. Excellently written with superb imagery and great rhyme. A very entertaining write for children and even for adults. Top marks!
