A Second Chance

At one point of my life I was abandoned on a frozen lake,
the ice cracked,
I fell through through,
screaming for help but nobody came.
The pain of the freezing cold water hitting my body like a thousand knives one right after another.
Still screaming at the top of my lungs,
hopping for someone to hear my calls,
after a long period of agony finally,
someone came to my rescue,
and gave me a second chance at life.

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

Nicely written short poem with a positive message, glad I stumbled over it. Peace, L&T
