a poem has it's own language
if a poet uses the glamour of the language
in his poem...the language
would stand out
if a poet shows his versatality over the language
in his poem...the poet
would stand out
the poet and the language should
lose themselves in the poem...for
the poem to speak it's own language
Yes. A poem has to speak its own language. This is the truth. Whose language? This is the question. Finally speaking, a poem speaks the language of its creator. It is the ability of a poet to let his poem speak its own language. The presentation matters very much. Hundreds of poets can present a particular theme in so many different ways. This means that the theme doesn't speak by itself unless the poet is mindful of its presentation. The poet should be able to present a theme in such a manner that he can universalize the theme more than a mere presentation of an incident. If the poet omits Proper Nouns, this is the first step towards universalizing the theme. The next step is to see the theme in a subjective manner. The poet should become the witness of the undertones of the theme. The real voice of a poem is these undertones. It would carry a clear message to humanity and remind the reader of the eternal currents of life.
Well, I sure do understand this one, and I completely agree with it. I wish all of my poems were like that. I would be a happy man. GW62
