A Poem For Zizipho Ntlangula

Rating: 5.0

I don't know
Every time I stumble upon your poems
I fall in and it's more than an immersion
I drag my body to the shore
Peace clung to my flesh
Lungs clogged with joy

I get it
With this poetry thing
We can write oceans
Some are turbulent
They drown you in an instant
Some are peaceful
Your kind
The kind to draw everything good from

It's not everyday you become a tree
And get watered with words
And yet with every one of your poems
I'm nourished
