goodbye
with hugs, kisses, and love
the grandmother sent her grandsons to war
tears flowed and her heart broken
she knew that this would be the last time
she would see her grandsons
for
cancer and war merged in pain
for she knew
that this goodbye
would be forever

my mother was teriminal ill with cancer, her two grandsons she love dearly was shipping out for combat. this would be the last time they saw each other.
