A Father's Love

A father`s love - enduring and caring;
Words unspoken - yet comfort and warmth unsparing.
A gentle pat and hug, a thoughtful gesture,
Smiles, jokes or a tender look - all loving, pure and sure.

A father`s heart - gallant and giving,
A fortress worries and woes found unyielding,
A tender heart, forthright and forgiving,
With a love that gives all, takes little, always sharing.

Will you forgive, Dad, if I`ve failed to see
Your tender look and smiles and how you`ve held me,
The simple gestures of love, unnoticed so often,
And at times your warm words and wishes forgotten?

With all my love, Daddy.
