A Dog And His Boy



My brother,
An exquisite specimen.
Four legs carry him wherever he wishes,
denying him nothing and nowhere, pulling my leash in tow.
Solemnly speaking, I listen when he does.
Though rarely vocalizing, I learn much from him.
He is my teacher, a lover, a fighter, and my keeper.
Sassamon is his name, and I his student.
His kind eyes pierce mine and affirm my heart.
I follow his sentiment, saying 'woof! ' to the wind and lifting my leg to the bullshit.
Even though I shall walk through the valley of The Shadow of society, I fear no evil, for my dog is with me.
Six legs, two minds, one love.
