722. Flying Without Wings Poem by Jaden Knight

722. Flying Without Wings

I would love to able to fly without wings
to take the skies and soar
feeling the rush of the air upon my face
as I revel in the beautiful scenes below me

I would visit all my friends in faraway lands
and bring them presents from home
I could take them to places they have never seen
and help fulfil some of their dreams

I'd be able to save money on holiday
as I wouldn't have to pay for the flight
no baggage handlers to lose my bags
and no screaming kids to disturb me

I would never get rained or snowed on
as I would simply fly high above the clouds
not wondering about the chaos on the ground
as everyone else shelters or gets soaked

I would love to fly without wings
to do acrobatics in the sky
using my power for the good of entertainment
and not just for my personal enjoyment
