#300 Je T’aime Pour Toujours

I miss walking late at night
Underneath the pale moonlight
With your hand pressed in mine tight.
I miss you.

I miss staying up way too late,
Speaking low after a date,
Wishing morning would somehow wait.
I miss you.

I miss walking a couple blocks
To check the mail inside your box
And drinking Dr Pepper and pop rocks.
I miss you.

I miss the way you laughed freely
In the haunted house where we couldn’t see
So I rammed a wall and scraped my knee.
I miss you.

I miss the e-mails we would share,
Writing all without a care,
Never knowing I should beware.
I miss you.

I miss holding you so close to me,
Your head fitting perfectly
Wishing it’d last eternally.
I miss you.

I miss words I never said to you,
Words that tear my heart in two,
Something like “Je t’aime pour toujours.”
I miss you.

I miss wondering what you’d say
If I told you, “By the way,
I would marry you yesterday.”
I miss you.

I miss the hope that we would win,
Trusting all the faith within
Would give a chance to try again.
I miss you.

I miss you, I miss you. It’s sad but true
And I wonder if you ever miss me too?
