(158) In The Eyes Of The Beholder

Rating: 3.1

He smiled at me as I walked through the door
of a rather huge department store.
Then I heard him say, good morning pretty lady.
Well he just made my day.

He was just a baby, maybe twenty four or twenty five
I was his senior, hmmm I almost took a dive
Seems compliments come even if you’re older.
After all, beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.

I see the beauty of a soul through the eyes of the beholder.

The beauty of the soul is forever. In the eyes of this beholder, this is a very fine poem. Love, Sandra

True beauty never fades with age, like the perfect wine it ripens and matures with grace, ummm how sweet the taste...

Well, Darling Girl, it is just as I told a friend the other day...'I may be older...but I am not DEAD! ' This advice should be heard by all who are younger than we...that they, too, will someday be our age...and they should remember this! ! Loved it!

Mel they look at you and see the inner beauty we should all look for in everyone. The other day I spoke to a person who was in a wheelchair. Everyone had told me that he was miserable and expected everyone to do things for him. I found him quite the contrary. He was polite, and thankful I had taken the time to speak to him. He had an inner beauty no one had ever bothered to see. Top marks and thanks for sharing it my friend. David
