First question, if not second, readers usually asked is; “Where do you get your name from? ” Or when they would introduce themselves people would ask “Is it your real name? ” So that’s when she would reply nonchalantly “MarieLove is the poetic name that I have created for myself, it’s my comfort zone.”
Ms. Brévil wishes are to submerge her readers into her universe where they, too at their turn, get to be as comfortable as to create their own world. Although she left her country at a young age, she was still able to articulate very well within her culture.
Despite her despairing expressions which reflect her life experiences, she has still been able to continue pursuing her interest.
At twenty-two, she has attained a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration in addition to some other certifications gained through training and vocational school. She has published a variety of poems on poetry.com and other sites for poetry. She has competed for poetry in French and in English and has won many First Prizes. Despite the rage of her disadvantage past, the constant disappointment she later face in her life, the anguish of her childhood and the lack of support she often faced, and her feelings being daunted by such, to herself and to some others she is still running the race; she is a winner! From the author: “Now I dedicate most of my time and my writing into my own history, not only as a Haitian, but also as a prideful African descendent.”
Now I am currently working on my PhD and I am hoping to continue publishing while attending school...and more.

It’s like I was dying
I was seeing my life flashing
Right in front of my bare
And naked beautiful eyes.

If our children aren’t smiling
Laughing, playing, driving us insane
Than something must be wrong in our doing

Dear God, Jesus, My Lord
Holy Ghost, Father I pray You
Please give me strength
So I can have the power to continue,

How sweet it is; a mother’s touch…

The one that knows the various
Colors of our days.

I don’t want to be brutal
I don’t want to be rude
But what I have to say today is
Nothing but soul food
