Absent Friends
As I wander down life's road
Along it's winding bends
I think of those who travel not
I think of absent friends
So I turn to memories made
In other times gone by
I think of those I travelled with
I feel………like I could cry
At first I fight away my tears
My mind is all a blur
And then a smile lights up my face
As memories start to stir
The love and warmth you always gave
At last I understand
I feel your love, there is no grave,
You're in the promised land
As I wander, down life's road
Along it's winding bends
I think of those, who travel not
I think, of absent friends
Now I know, we travel still
Together all the way
Absent friends we'll meet again
At God's behest some day
