Dieter Norbert Rebowski, originally born in Germany, now resides with his wife in Ontario Canada. Together they had raised four children into adults and are now in the grandparent stage of life.
To kill boredom during the Covid lock-down, D.N. Rebb (or Diane, as his friends call him) only started writing in 2020 and has since self-edited/published a series of poetic books called Written Words, and the first two books of an upcoming series called Poetry Between The Prose And 'Logues Of Nefunk. (available through Amazon) .
(D.N. Rebb is also a complete pseudonym!)
As a hobby, D.N. has perfected the art of hydroponically farming escargot. He is a proud part time modern day heliciculturist.
D.N. came second in his age group to finish the biannual backwards hike at the Lioness's Head Loop Of the Spruce Trail.
D.N. shares his home with a 140lbs mountain lion, called Pussy, that his wife found as a stranded kitten on vacation in the Yukon a few years back. She thought it was a domestic shorthair lost in the woods.
D.N. has unsuccessfully attempted the latest trend of indoor bee keeping to aid in the decline of the world's bee population.
D.N. as a young man, had signed up to be one of the first inhabitants to colonize Mars. At the time of this writing, the space-ship to take everyone there had still not been completed. He keeps reminding his wife that he might need to leave with very little warning.
Say Hi - rebb.dn@gmail.com
Left my home town just before six am
The right thumb was my only ride
Someone finally stopped, thank you ma'am
Heading to the city that has nothin' to hide
...
I once wanted it all
But now search no more
As I let inner peace soar
And watch others now crawl
...
Is your sky still blue,
Mr. President?
Telling nonsense truth
Of fake news you dreamt
...
I thought the path would lead to a more familiar purpose
Wandering in silence; alone
I used to enjoy the soundtrack of the birds,
The freshness of the sun,
...
I write really bad poetry
Someone called me dilettante
No idea what that even meant
So I had looked it up to see
...
