Barry, I do miss you terribly as many might feel the same on here. Your presence through your poetry was so enriching. Your love of nature and the world never ceased to amaze me. I never said goodbye to you, couldn't find the right words to say, I know you are at peace now, my friend. You are one of the angels now. Aqua Flower (Rainbow flower now)

I love reading Barry's work...as reading through alot of his work it is like a little movie unfolding right in front of your very eyes....His great words paint such wonderful pictuers. I alway feel so relaxed after reading Barry's work...Come read and enjoy what he has to offer...you won't be disappointed.
So glad to have encountered Barry Middleton. He cares... about the writing, the speaker, the reader, and the content of his work. His poetry ranges from musical and rhyming, to analytical free verse, to poems that evoke memory, the past, and witness to history. As a fellow poet, Barry has been an inspiration to me and I appreciate this thoughtful commentaries, passion, and critical advice.
Wording of thoughtful, innovative, sensitive feelings in the poems of Barry Moddleton runs as clear waters do in peaceful creeks and you feel its dew painting your senses.
Marianne, I have lived in Sarasota since 1989. I commuted to Venice Hospital for work. My memory is poor by I vaguely remember The Wedgwood. Yes indeed it is a small world.
Barry, I just read your bio and didn't realize we were in Venice, Fl. at the same time! We lived there from 1974-1993. My husband, Jim, and I were raising our 2 kids, living on Fiesole St. on the island, and running our restaurant, The Wedgwood, and Everymans/(soon to be Stormin'Normans after Jim's brother Norm) . I was active in the Art League, member of Florida Artists Group, and writing some then too. In the 90's we moved to Asheville where we have lived ever since. My daughter Jill grew up to be a Child's Mental Health specialist, and now is a director at the Safe Children's Coalition run by the Y. Small world. Wish I had known you then. Where do you live now? Marianne Larsen Reninger
