Soldier Poem (In Memorial Of My Step-Dad)

Whenever I hear the word soldier,
I think of my step-father,
That lost his life in desert storm,
I fear that I will never be in the norm,
When I heard the news I broke down and cried,
But now I carry on and I’ve tried,
To not think about the war,
For it brings tears not down my face but in my core.
