VIRGINIA GELY Poems

1.

Life is full of mystery
of unexpected encounter
meeting faces and unforgettable places,
We just couldn't understand.
...

Goodbye cold WINTER...
Nortured by my waiting...forsaken but not forgotten,
Covered-up the withered dried leaves of AUTUMN,
Renounced the prevailing changes of seasons...without reasons.
...

The curtains are now down.
This human show must go on…
Life must be played till the last breath
No matter how complicated or difficult the comedy…
...

I dedicate a hymn of gratitude to your courage...
For although weak and banded;
...wounded and baffled for years...
...Your soul stayed unbeatable.
...

I’ve learned a lot by knowing you
And knowing you better leads me to realize
That I must live my life all over again…
...

Life is a mystery…
In each crossroads, I’ve met people, forgotten who and how they were to me.
Most often, I don’t even remember how I was with them.
And I didn’t mind.
...

Forgive me for not counting the fleeting moments
When I am near you.
Time seems considerately blameful to each glances I take…
From soul to soul…as face to face.
...

Wherever I gaze, I can see your countenance almost real to me.
When I close my eyes, the more vivid your face becomes in my imagination.
I always want to close my eyes when you are not with me, Beloved.
...

Love and passion…
…identified feelings,
…mixed emotions of rhyming words worthy written…
…in gleaming lines…
...

You were my blissful ecstasy,
Your presence decomposed strange madness…
…However divinely subtle.
My miserable me subsisted in this conjured nostalgia.
...

I met you unexpectedly without anticipation.
Suddenly after,
I realized that life is worth living again,
That despair and heartaches and those long troubled years can be changed to joy and laughter
...

Softly and silently waves cover the signs of time…
I linger again and again, from moment to moment;
I remember our first sight…
...

In everything you say and do…

Makes my heart to want you,
Like my wanting of summer to be mine,
...

VIRGINIA GELY Biography

I was born in a small village in the city of Lucena, Philippines. I started to write poems when I was 13. In those days ideas and inspirations were nearer. I wrote about 20 poems before my 19th birthday. Unhappily, my book of compilation of poems was destroyed during one of our heavy typhoons in 1980. I was able to save 'in my memory' only the short poems. The beginning of my early teens were saved by composing and writing poems. Poetry has always been my loyal companionship till now.)

The Best Poem Of VIRGINIA GELY

Fate

Life is full of mystery
of unexpected encounter
meeting faces and unforgettable places,
We just couldn't understand.

Sleepness nights of a waiting heart,
Blaming fate with a cruel end,
Love untold, desires forsaken
the heart remains the same.

Could we be honest and look at life this way:

To meet, to know, to love and then to part...
Is the sad fate of many human hearts.
