Our Beloved Country Viet Nam Is Sadly Not Really Strange/Weird After All

Our beloved country is sadly not really strange/weird after all
when the barbarian regime overthrown the freedom and democratic party
poverty and backward society liberated the prosperous society
descendants of Lac Long Quan
covered in blood of King Hung's children
Had mother Au Co known today
the 100-offspring eggs would have been boiled
to unborn the poisonous snakes

brothers killing brothers without hesitation
yet cowardly and disgracefully bowing to the North
while us cows and buffalos butting heads, the enemy is nonchalantly watching from above
The civil war's victors acceptedly are selling the country as a colony
as they're gutting the homeland
plundering the country's wealth, overflowing their bulging, greedy pocket

Our beloved country is sadly not really strange/weird after all
when slavery blood has already subdued in the blood vessels
so however unjustly treated, yet afraid to fight back
to a regime inhumanely crushing its people
regarding human life lower than the life of worms and crickets
fear reduces us to be overly coward and disgrace
we cannot live
think, speak
act like human being

songs expressing fight against the Chinese invasion is labeled against the regime
while poems, stories glorifying Stalin, Mao
are considered part of literary history
terrorists who planted destructive bombs, killing people
are granted the armed forces heroes status
ignorant, uneducated ones are appointed as Minister, Secretary of State
and the ones who know how to lower and bow themselves
for their next step to be the Director
they all collaborating together like a chain link
gobbling up and sharing the country's and other people's wealth padding their own richness

Our beloved country is sadly not really strange/weird after all
the state-owned corporations file bankruptcy billions in debt
in US dollars for us to amazingly wonder
and the court cases that got dismissed because they involved high ranking officers such as Prime Minister
The four-pillar kingdom might have insiders penetrating
forcing the poor to perpetually breaking their back to pay their debts
statistically on an average, each of us
including children, we owe nearly 30 millions in bad debt
such a heavy burden caused by corrupted officers enjoying the fancy seafood
while the common peasants salvaging the empty shells
hence the country continues to exhaustedly spiral downward...of course

Our beloved country is sadly not really strange/weird after all
when we peacefully marching for blue ocean, for clean environment
yet savagely beatened worse than the beating of terrorists
when teenagers are jailed because of their fight against unjust
10 years of jail time for petty theft of stealing a loaf of bread
when Director incurred only 18 months for hitting multiple cars, injuring 6 people
when police hitting and killing people,5 years at best, worst yet, acquitted all together

Our country is not strange/weird - nobody believed
