Lightning rips apart the sky
In the distance thunder crashes
The wind howls its battle cry
As against the wall it smashes

When shadows walk the earth
And dead men are rebirthed
When the seeds of death unsewn
And the tree of life regrown
...

Who said that I have to stick to your script
Who said that I can't write my own
Who said that my corpse will lie in your crypt
Who said that I won't leave my name in stone
...

I was going to a place
They all called insane
And I quickly decided
'I'll take a plane'
...

And let the silence fill them deep
Be silent
And let the silence make them weep
...

There the setting sun sits low in endless sky
Burning with such fury that it does sting the eye
There upon the pond does its reflection glow
Illuminating a world filled with wonder we shan’t know
...

The truth is buried deep
Deep inside those eyes
Buried secrets do they keep
Buried beneath forgotten lies
...

The words would have been no colder
If your tongue was made of ice
Though the wound seems nary older
It has healed over twice
...

Every moment that passes
Every tick of the damnable clock
Brings me over closer to the madness
Every tick, tock, tick, tock
...

If all your monsters were real
And all your heroes fake
How would that make you feel
How much could you take?
