Walking to the office
To buy their liberty.

There is no sound or din.
I’m walking through this famous park,
The beauty takes me in.

I often wonder about my house,
About floorboards, the stair case and mum’s hot scouse.
I often wonder about the world,
About flowers, trees and petals that curl.

I look out my window,
My eye duth meet,
The neatly filed houses of Glover Street.
Looking further I see the shell,

There was a young fellow called jack,
We don’t really know his real name.
When he was young he joined a pack,
And that’s how he came to fame.

The pain you see, still caries on.

Still lingers and kills you, inside, in your head.

A Soul To The Heavens

As I go bare foot across the beach,
I see a grain of sand.
A man comes forth as if to teach,
And quickly grabs my hand.
“Don’t touch the sand” his old mouth said,
“It’s precious around here, ”
I saw his cheeks were sore and red,
His words echoed in my ear,
“Don’t touch the sand? ”
I wondered why?
The man lay flat,
As if to die.
He snuggled up to the wind on the floor,
This was nothing I’d ever seen before.
“My wife was here” he said to me,
“So many years before, ”
“She died on this spot” he said to me,
“To the heavens she did saw.”
“She could not swim, the tide too high, ”
“My wife, her spirit went to the sky.”
“My wife, her skin, as soft as a dove, ”
“But now she’s a soul to Heaven above.”
“The circle of life has taken it’s toll, ”
“I wait for mine with a silent drum role.”
“I wait for mine wondering if or when, ”
“I will see my precious, lost wife again.”
