I told you I’m stepping up,
I told you I’m stepping up,
And you still scream ‘order, order’,
I told you I’m stepping up,
...

Flirting comes with courtships grace,
But I try to speak and maintain my guard,
Only around you I fall flat on my face,
I can only hope to not land too hard,
...

I’m telling you to try,
I’m begging you to feel,
Because I know what I am,
And I know what I’m not,
...

If there’s anything that I can do,
If there’s anything that I can say,
Tell me what it is,
And I’ll be on my way,
...

Look down dry eyes,
To keep from crying,
This world is too bad,
And everyone’s dying,
...

I was just fine,
Until I realized I was okay,
Then it seemed,
Everything blew up in my face,
...

Lift me up to the dawn,
It’s still breaking through,
The sun seems to overcome these clouds,
Why can't I overcome you?
...

When you were right,
And I was wrong,
I laid down weak,
While you stood strong,
...

My chest is rising
Then it’s sinking
Taking a break
From what I’ve been thinking
...

Never have I seen such a grey sky,
There are too many rain clouds,
Hidden in the darkness of night,
It reminds me of love running out,
...

I remember every word you said,
None of them made any sense,
They were all broken up and bent,
Yeah, yeah,
...

You should know the way the river runs
After all that’s where your tears go
And you should realize you’re potential
‘Cause that’s how you grow
...

T.C. Nyxx Biography

Born and raised in the Seattle area, I've been writing since the dawn of forever-short stories, song lyrics, poetry, novels, everything. This Winter I even produced and directed and full length play that I wrote when I was a sophomore. Now a senior I still adore poetry, but I'm focusing more on art. I've had a painting in a public museum in Seattle [The Frye], I've sold two drawings for over $100, and numerous ones under that price, I've had pieces in gallery shows and displays, I've also been an actress for a few years now [at the highschool level, nothing too impressive] and I recieved the Drama Award at my highschool for 2006-2007. Now I'm hoping to become a tattoo artist and create works that will be permanently with someone for, most likely, ever.)

I Told You.

I told you I’m stepping up,
I told you I’m stepping up,
And you still scream ‘order, order’,
I told you I’m stepping up,
I told you I’ve had enough,
And you still scream.

In the recollection of,
What you told me, I told her,
I bandage the wounds,
Cause I still see you hold her,
And I cry in chocolate,
But it’s not nearly so bad,
Tasteful sympathy,
So sweet and yet so sad.

I told you I’ve had enough,
I told you I’ve had enough,
And you still scream ‘Murder, murder’,
I told you I’m stepping up,
I told you I’ve had enough,
And you still scream.

Pointing fingers in my face,
Desperate solution,
Be sure to make your case,
Even with no evidence,
But be prepared to fight,
Judges orders,
Kiss your kids goodnight,
Stain them with the same lies,

I told you I’ve given up,
I told you I’ve given up,
But you still seem beaten, beaten,
I told you I’m giving up,
But you’ve been called on you bluff,
Now you scream.
