swabi mnisi Poems

The land of my forefathers
Victim of imperialism, colonialism
Wars and all social ills alike
Perpetuated by western forces
...

There they are
Roped in black gowns and beeps
Worshiping, honouring and praying
To a judge they bow
...

Before 1652, you had human, your children by descend
Until settlers by origin chained and killed them
Leaving you helpless to satisfy their lust
With the wealth between your legs
...

She is the breeze in the morning
The sun rays at dawn
The sun warmth at day
And the starlight at night
...

Freedom never comes
To those basking in the sun
Nor to those in the fields
Playing, but for fun
...

One by one
We all go
To the cemetery
...

You, with big butt and small waist
Those goodies wrapped in unequalled curves
Fat lips that produce a mouth watering kiss
With that black face and woolly hair
...

You hooked my eyes
And intoxicated my mind
Dried my lips off words
Like a caged bird
...

I long for that kiss
The one that cramps feet
And explode emotions
To the resounding lips
...

My love for you precedes;
The now wrinkling hands that where once smooth,
The cocky voice that was once sooth,
The flaccid breast that where once firm,
...

When you flash that blush
I realize that that voice comes from no bush
Instead a testimony of a rising sun
From the uniquely shape mountains
...

In this dark cloud
I called out loud
Where are you, Papa?
...

Goodbye is the hardest word to utter
With you, I’ve learned to live
Like a fallen milk tooth from a bleeding gum
I realised your stay was temporary
...

I am dead in my own skin
lost in my own dreams
blurred by my own deeds
I am lost in the mist
...

Painted with greed
Masked with hypocrisy
And her heart is frozen
...

We invest in re-cycling
yet, fail to recycle hate for luv,
can't even undo our evil deeds
...

Seeking comfort in place of discomfort
Shebeens became mine
Tragedy in the open to shine
Pain, I thought I eased
...

Look not for me
In the kitchen
There isn’t no food for me
Unless in an apron
...

Life for me hasn’t been easy
Expectation too high, resources too low
Arrived at school always dizzy
That hard, I had to grow
...

The Best Poem Of swabi mnisi

My Africa

The land of my forefathers
Victim of imperialism, colonialism
Wars and all social ills alike
Perpetuated by western forces
Pregnant with deceit and diseases
To cripple my Africa

Rise Africa, rise
Rise from victimhood
Rise from the Dark Continent
Rise above civil wars
Rise and open economic doors
Rise my Africa, rise

Ooh my Africa
Food parcels and UN aids
Are demeaning and degrading
In the glory of your oil and minerals
Whilst the aiders loot your riches
And encourage you to fight each other

Unite Africa, unite
Invoke the unity sought by Nkruma
Africans refuse to be pawns
Refuse to be traitors of your fellows
In the global circles, know thy self
And build my Africa
