A Naked Foot On A Foreign Land

A struggle in native land
Deprived of basic needs
Lack of education
Drove me away to an unknown land
I came with an empty pocket
And i believed in the land I land my foot on
A land of fortune it was called
Malaya was its name then
Now after fifty years of independence
Its glows with pride and dignity
With the name of Malaysia
A land of diverse culture and religion
A land called Borneo with lush greenery
With abundant flora and fauna
It has one of the tallest building in the world
One of the longest bridge in the world
Has produced world class squash players like Nicol David
Malaysia is truly Asia
And thats what I know
About the land I call my mother land now
I am a Malaysian
I say and a Happy 50th Independence Day.
