Sudip Chatterjee Poems

1.

Cry! No, it's not a midnight cry;
Cry of daily life,
Cry of anguish, cry of pain,
Cry of respect melted in rain.
...

A man of fifty
Has passed the half of life,
A man of fifty
Is so wise & ripe.
...

Yes I am a cobbler.
I make your shoes polish,
Who has hard life day & night;
Yes I am a cobbler.
...

When I lie on the bed
The sleep comes through air,
I am in dream but not in nightmare.
My mind on the way amid the beauty of nature,

Colour of a day not equal to all,

Cry

Cry! No, it's not a midnight cry;
Cry of daily life,
Cry of anguish, cry of pain,
Cry of respect melted in rain.
Her desire been suppressed
Since long evil days,
She has been tortured,
She has been caged.
Nothing in her life she can dream,
Beat of life turned into scream.
Still she believes in her life,
Becoming a daughter, sister & wife.
She finds her freedom are among those,
Who are nearer, who are close.
Her chapter of life doesn't end here,
Tears are hidden, but love us with care.
