Arrive at an empty pub
nobody in there not even the girls of the uni
just empty
the music is dull

A little bit off kilter
a tiny bit lost
much less nothing
arms crossed

Thats what i love
Johnson, Guthrie, Lead Belly
thats where it all started
it keeps on moving
...

Nothing beats
the delightful
the lifting
the stomach tickling
...

Waking up in the morning
and going to the fridge
only to find there is
no beer
...

There comes a
time when
you need to
as a human
...

On a summers night
death is creeping behind me
walking slowly
ready to grip me like a black vial
...

I remember that girl
i remember her face
i remember her hair
i remember the clothes
...

All i seem to do lately
is write
all i think about
all day, everyday
