I am a mother and grandmother who is not a poet. I was going through some very, very difficult emotional and mental anguish. The poem I posted is the only time in my life I was able to write a poem. I have never been able to write another one since. I can't help but feel that this poem I wrote was inspired. It helped in the healing process I was going through at the time.)

Angel

I can't even begin to describe the amount of love I felt inside
I sacrificed my body and mind only to be left behind
An angel sent from heaven to bless my brothers home
Now he is happy and I am alone
I felt her move inside my womb
Now her life is in anothers home
She will always be dear to me
After all she is my niece
In time I will make myself known
And love is all that will be shown
