Stacey Knippenberg Ricci Poems

She wore flowers in her hair
Against hazy winter skies

He acknowledged beauty there
...

I drive
My hands clenched
Tightly on the wheel.
White knuckles grip.
...

This minute whispers,
And she could worship a moment.
Her lust beneath
The evening moon is an eternity.
...

Feelings flow like brushstrokes
On a canvas vast as sky

Painting moments of a lifetime
...

Sunday flew over me
Locking my feet to the ground
Absence of direction
Intention of connection
...

Does an anchor breath
Or weep or smile
As it holds you in place?
You will not drift off course
...

7.

He and his strange ancient history
Merely mortal immortality
Feather quill plucked
From the wing
...

The moon shuddered and shook
Before filling the sky with sharp slivers
Of her silver sparkle shrapnel.
The eclipse was reining the sky.
...

The catastrophe of years rolled off his blistered back
Smoldering skin against a backdropp of black asphalt sky.
Fragments of dreams yelled 'STOP'
But the cool night would not end
...

Dollars Day
Charade for trade...
What would you?
A life?
...

I wanted us
On a road story
Funny, this favorite memory
Shot
...

in a sense
W let winter stop
How easy
Like a picture book
...

Caressed and Distressed
Ever present mind-fall
Off the edge mind-full
Boulders crumble and bounce around
...

No, no, no
Tiny little word
No, no, no
Can you speak?
...

Dreams Rake
Nights Quake
Days Break
Hearts Ache
...

Magic comes in waves to those willing
To sacrafice reality for bits of bliss.
Wearing wonder around your neck like a crucifix,
Or is it a hangmans noose?
...

He wore a veil of tatters and tasks.
She stood naked in front of his eyes.
Shackled upon a box locked tight,
Full of intent and love.
...

The night I give like water cupped in my hand
silver and smooth drenched in bits of moon

The night I know my voice calls
...

Sensual and seductive
They slide skin to skin
Tender slowly seeking
Showered in sultry softness
...

The Best Poem Of Stacey Knippenberg Ricci

She Wore Flowers

She wore flowers in her hair
Against hazy winter skies

He acknowledged beauty there
As seen only through his eyes.

She touched cool wind with outstretched arms
And a relinquished tender heart.

He watched her standing near the edge
But their journey kept them apart.

Fly by me on gold green wings
Against a crimson sky

Bow your head as angels sing
And wait for time to pass us by.

She held him softly in her troubled mind
For she knew she had his love,

He grasped her hand and holding tight
He pulled her from above.

She fell into his arms,
And collapsed against his chest

She begged him to confirm
And to what he would attest.

He whispered softly against
Her lips a soft forbidden tale,

Of passing time, and starlit skies
And of love that would not fail.

Fly by me on gold green wings
Against a crimson sky

Bow your head as angels sing
And wait for time to pass us by.
