This Land

This land of sand and sea, glorious vistas and wild wooded forests, so full of diversity.

This land for the holiday maker, the penalty taker, for richer or poorer, for the hardened try scorer.

This land, that is worked by the hand with knuckles frostbit, eyebrows that frown, lips frozen and split
Just a normal day in a farmers remit
On this glorious landscape, Oh! To be part of it!

This land with mountains so tall, far and wide do they sprawl, with walkers on foot to get away from it all,
The views make you gasp! Such beauty, at times, your mind simply cannot grasp.

This land encompassed two thirds by the sea, so full of allure
So wild, so violent, so rough
Yet at times tame, but always with an ice cold reflective Azure.

This land in all it's Majesty
Is there for all to share and see, but treat with the utmost courtesy
To keep it there for you and for me.

So to the climbers, the tourists, the walkers on trails
You'll never forget This Land!
This land of my fathers
Magnificent
Wales
